📜 Terms of Use
Welcome to Cyber Rebellion (the “Game”). These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) form a legally binding agreement between you and the operator of the Game regarding your access to and use of the Game, its launcher, websites, forums, in‑game chat, social features, and any related services (collectively, the “Services”). By installing, accessing, or using the Services, you affirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. Eligibility and Authority
- You must be legally permitted to use interactive entertainment in your jurisdiction. Where required, you represent that you have reached the age of digital consent or have verifiable parental permission.
- If you use the Services on behalf of another person or entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that person or entity to these Terms.
2. Accounts and Security
- Registration: Certain features require an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and keep it updated.
- Credentials: You are responsible for safeguarding your username and password and for all activity under your account.
- Compromise: If you suspect unauthorized access, you should immediately secure your account and cease gameplay until you regain control.
- Account Limits: We may limit the number of accounts per person, device, or household to maintain system integrity.
3. Limited License
Subject to your ongoing compliance with these Terms, you are granted a personal, revocable, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable, and non‑sublicensable license to access and use the Services solely for entertainment and non‑commercial purposes. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
4. Ownership and Intellectual Property
The Services and all related content—including without limitation code, artwork, characters, skill effects, music, animations, lore, layouts, audiovisual elements, and trademarks—are protected by intellectual property and other laws. No ownership interest is transferred to you by virtue of using the Services or acquiring Virtual Items.
5. Virtual Currency, Items, and Transactions
- Nature: The Game may offer virtual currency and virtual items, including cosmetics, boosters, season passes, and other content (“Virtual Items”). Virtual Items are licensed, not sold, and have no real‑world monetary value.
- Acquisition: Virtual Items may be earned through gameplay or made available for purchase. Prices, availability, and attributes may change.
- Finality: To the extent permitted by applicable law, all transactions are final, non‑refundable, and non‑exchangeable.
- Changes: We may rebalance, modify, restrict, or remove Virtual Items to support fair play and service stability.
6. Gameplay Rules and Fair Use
To maintain a fair and enjoyable environment, you agree you will not:
- Use cheats, hacks, automation (bots), macros that simulate unattended play, memory editors, or unauthorized third‑party tools.
- Exploit bugs, unintended interactions, or design flaws; if discovered, you should report them.
- Circumvent anti‑cheat, matchmaking rules, or access controls, or manipulate network traffic or game data.
- Engage in harassment, hateful conduct, defamation, threats, doxxing, or targeted abuse against any individual or group.
- Advertise, solicit, or conduct commercial activity inside the Services without express permission.
- Buy, sell, gift, or trade accounts or Virtual Items outside permitted in‑game systems.
7. User‑Generated Content (UGC)
- Responsibility: You are solely responsible for UGC you submit or make available, including character names, guild names, emblems, chat messages, screenshots, and forum posts.
- License: By submitting UGC, you grant us a worldwide, royalty‑free, transferable, perpetual, and irrevocable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, publicly perform, and display such UGC in connection with the Services.
- Moderation: We may review, remove, or disable UGC at our discretion without notice and without obligation to monitor continuously.
- No Confidentiality: Do not submit confidential or proprietary content; UGC is not confidential.
8. Parties, Guilds, and Social Features
The Game may include parties, guilds, and friend systems. Leaders or administrators may have moderation responsibilities. We may intervene, rename, transfer ownership, or disband groups to protect players, enforce these Terms, or preserve service integrity.
9. Seasons, Events, and Ladders
- Seasonal Content: The Game may provide seasonal ladders, challenges, and resets. Progress, rankings, and rewards may be reset or migrated at season end.
- Event Rules: Tournaments and special events may include additional rules. Where event rules conflict with these Terms, event rules govern for the event’s duration.
10. Gear, Crafting, and Economy Integrity
- We may adjust drop rates, item affixes, crafting costs, and trade restrictions to maintain balance and prevent inflation or exploitation.
- Suspicious transactions may be reviewed, reversed, or voided to prevent fraud or abuse.
11. Anti‑Cheat and Integrity Measures
The Services may incorporate anti‑cheat, fraud detection, and telemetry necessary to enforce fairness and protect the Game. By using the Services, you consent to the collection and processing of data reasonably required to operate such measures.
12. Platform and Cross‑Play
Features may vary by platform or region. Cross‑play or cross‑progression, where available, may require platform‑specific compliance. Violations on one platform may affect your access on others.
13. Patches, Balance Changes, and Updates
We may deploy patches, hotfixes, and balance changes that affect skills, runes, items, encounters, or progression. You may be required to install updates to continue using the Services.
14. Availability and Maintenance
The Services may be modified, suspended, or discontinued in whole or in part, including for maintenance, technical issues, force majeure, or business reasons. We do not guarantee continued availability of any specific feature, server, or content.
15. Streaming, Fan Content, and Community Creators
- Permitted: Non‑commercial streaming, screenshots, and fan art are generally permitted if compliant with these Terms and do not imply endorsement.
- Restrictions: Do not distribute data‑mined assets, leaks, or confidential content. Do not infringe third‑party rights.
- Revocation: Permissions may be revoked at any time to protect the Game’s integrity or intellectual property.
16. Names and Personalization
- Character, pet, and guild names must be respectful, non‑infringing, and not misleading.
- We may rename or remove names that violate these standards and may release names from inactive accounts.
17. Feedback
If you submit suggestions, concepts, or proposals regarding the Services, you grant us the right to use them without restrictions or compensation. We are under no obligation to implement any feedback.
18. Third‑Party Services
The Services may interoperate with third‑party platforms or hardware. Your use of those services may be subject to separate terms. We are not responsible for third‑party content or services and do not endorse them.
19. Data Safeguards and Player Safety
We implement reasonable safeguards to protect accounts and operations. No system is perfectly secure; you use the Services at your own risk and should maintain updated software and strong, unique credentials.
20. Prohibited Technical Activities
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the Game, except where such restrictions are prohibited by law.
- Bypassing DRM, anti‑tamper, access controls, or server‑side checks.
- Packet or memory manipulation to alter gameplay or stored data.
- Hosting, mirroring, framing, or emulating servers without authorization.
21. Suspension, Restrictions, and Termination
We may warn, restrict features, roll back progress, reset rankings, remove items, limit matchmaking, suspend, or terminate access if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk or legal exposure, or interfered with fair play. Upon termination, your license to the Services and Virtual Items ceases.
22. Rollbacks and Restorations
In the event of exploits, corruption, or critical defects, we may roll back characters, inventories, or servers. Corrective actions may include item removals, currency adjustments, or progression changes.
23. Photosensitivity and Health Notice
Some visual effects may cause discomfort or trigger photosensitive reactions for a small percentage of individuals. If you experience dizziness, nausea, disorientation, or similar symptoms, stop playing immediately and consider consulting a professional if symptoms persist.
